Michelle Davis manages a portfolio of government-guaranteed loans for Chatham Business Capital/First Chatham Bank. She thrives on the front lines working with borrowers on their loan servicing and loan modification requests. The role leverages her experience and understanding of SBA lending while playing up her strengths in customer service, communication and problem solving. Michelle has worked in banking since 2005. She started her career at Fifth Third Bank in commercial underwriting. Michelle broadened her banking experience over the last sixteen years including stints in international banking, commercial lending and business development. She started working with the SBA in 2018 as a 504 lender with a community development corporation where she worked with customers to put together loan packages for approval, closing and funding. Following loan closings, Michelle also monitored the portfolio. When a new opportunity to focus exclusively on portfolio management was offered, Michelle jumped into the role. She hasn’t looked back since.
